Michael Faraday

mixed on canvas 50x40cm

Michael Faraday was born into a very poor family. He studied chemistry self-taught until in 1810 was able to attend the regular classes at the Royal Institution. In 1813 Faraday became assistant to Humplry Davy. Unfortunately the wife of Davy, Jane Apreece, refusal to treat Michael as peers. His condition became so difficult that almost decided to give up forever to the sciences. In this portrait I wanted to represent Faraday “wet humiliation ignorance of this cruel woman.”
